When in Paris
Last week I had my Godparents (Auntie & Oncle) in City of Love. They are so young and already twenty-one year together. This is what we call High School Sweethearts! And even after three gorgeous boys they are still so in love. So cheerful, loving and carrying as it was yesterday ,when they had their first kiss, first rendez-vous, first year together.
So I decided to bring them to Printemps – to the top floor of brand house, where we enjoyed breathtaking 360° view from the middle of Paris. It was a magical afternoon of being right in the heart of this beautiful City, enjoying time, cafe pause and some (yeah, really SOME) rays of the sun with those LOVERS.
This year Printemps department store celebrates its 150 years. As retailers name means Spring in french, its been a perfect time to celebrate it now as it was launched on Mars, 2015. For this Anniversary around 1,000 pieces have been created specialy for this celebration as Christian Louboutin Mary Jane pumps in pink, a Gucci Bamboo bag as well as Lancome makeup palette and hundreds of others masterpieces what you can see when you enjoy spotlight shopping on boulevard Haussmann. For the occasion, windows are decorated with thousands of flowers, including roses, cherry blossoms and many others in shades of pink, white and red. I call it a little pink island in the middle of busy and loud metropole.
Since I have been living in Paris, I always knew that Luxembourg garden is a perfect place for a lovely afternoon stroll between families. So it is not surprise that late February Sunday we spent here enjoying first warm sunrays and ocean blue sky, kids playground (unfortunately it`s not free) and sweet lollipops with lipsy fingers afterwards. I should say, first time when I came to this beautiful jardin, there were children orchestra which greeted us with a really joyful and funny melodies. No long time left, when we are going to come here to have a delicious meal between these perfectly cut trees and will have a sunbeds what will make our cheeks in pastel pink and red shades.
Last Sunday we spent in Foire du Trone rollercoaster fun park. It has been one super-crazy-sunny-and-funny day together. Discoteque-like ambiance, the smell of popcorn, chips, ice cream and milkshake put us, adults, back in childhood and the smiley faces of kids – uh, made us so happy and cheerful. Lover kisses in the little trains, the screaming from the brave souls, cute cafe shops and lipsy fingers from the sweets, this all belong to this place. The colours of attractions will invite even the most fearful person to participate few minutes of fast&furious. (almost like in the new coming out movie in cinema, number 7). I totally agree that you can enjoy it even before it gets dark and all the lights get on, it is FUN!
That day I decided to capture Paris in grey and rainy mood. Early morning taking boat and enjoying ride on the Seine river was a totally great choise to see all these different spots, monuments, museums, bridges and tourists above them. Grey fits this city absolutely right and even if the sun did not greet us this morning, i had a great time discovering these places from (this time) other side & way. Enjoy GRIS (GREY) because in Paris it is IT colour!
